This introductory program is aligned to the Prep and Grade 1 Australian Curriculum. In this workshop students will explore a secret underwater bug world!
By the end of this incursion students will be able to answer:
What features makes an aquatic invertebrate (waterbug)?
Where do we find them?
What do they need to survive in their environment?
We combine our hands-on waterbug catching with fun and educational table activities. Our sessions always conclude with a demonstration on waterway pollution and a discussion on conserving our waterways.
Program duration: 45 - 60 minutes Maximum number of children per session: 28 Set-up requirements: We require the following resources for this workshop:
Access to power
Undercover area that can get wet
Classroom tables with chairs (spare classroom) or 6 large trestle tables with 15 chairs)
